About Blue Mountains Junior Rugby Club
We are a friendly, family-focused rugby club based in the heart of the Lower Blue Mountains, west of Sydney.
Our mission is simple — to teach, develop, and inspire a love of rugby union in every child who joins our Blue Tongues community.
At Blue Mountains Junior Rugby Club (BMJRC), we believe rugby is more than a game.
It’s a pathway to learning teamwork, respect, and confidence — both on and off the field.
We create an environment where children can have fun, build friendships, and develop lifelong skills through positive coaching and community support.
Our Club Values
Through a relaxed and social atmosphere, we proudly promote a club culture built on:
-
Teamwork – working together and supporting one another
-
Fun – celebrating every effort, big or small
-
Sportsmanship – showing respect for teammates, opponents, and officials
-
Respect – for the game, our club, and our community
These values are the foundation of everything we do, and we live them in every training session, match, and club event.
Our Home
Our home ground, Lapstone Oval, is shared with the Blue Mountains Rugby Seniors Club — creating a united pathway from Minis to Seniors.
Lapstone Oval is the heart of our club community, where families come together to train, play, and celebrate rugby under the gum trees.

💪 A Community-Driven Club
We are a not-for-profit, community rugby club run entirely by dedicated volunteers who share a passion for helping local kids play the great game of rugby union.
Every training session, match day, and event is made possible through the time, effort, and commitment of our amazing parents, families, and community members.
At Blue Mountains Junior Rugby Club, our focus goes beyond sport — it’s about building confidence, friendships, and a sense of belonging that lasts well beyond the final whistle.
🤝 Powered by Volunteers & Sponsors
Our club relies completely on the generosity and involvement of our volunteers and sponsors.
Whether it’s coaching, managing a team, helping at the BBQ, assisting with fundraising, or supporting events — every contribution makes a difference.
The support we receive from our sponsors also plays a vital role in keeping rugby affordable and accessible for all families, ensuring we can continue to grow and provide the best possible experience for every player.
👋 Get Involved
If you’d like to volunteer, sponsor, or simply lend a hand, we’d love to hear from you!

Together, we can keep building something special for our kids, our club, and our Blue Mountains community. 💙🏉
